I ordered these because they were plastic; something to use fearlessly outdoors when the snow finally clears, and the temperatures begin to approximate warm here in the mountains of New Mexico.
Or so I thought. The first clue was when the box arrived. I wasn't certain what was in it; the weight was more substantial than anticipated.
When I opened it and took the glasses out, I was again surprised by how substantial they seemed, excellent heft, and thanks to the cut crystal appearance, easily gripped with dry or moist hands.
Next was their appearance; the photo should tell you all you need to know, but if not, they are quite attractive.
When I started to put them away until needed, I realized how shabby our juice glasses looked in comparison, and so the 13-oz. tumblers will stay indoors, while their taller siblings will have to endure the heat of summer, the chill of beer, and the frosting of margaritas.
Such is life. If you are looking for attractive tumblers for inside or out, do not be afraid to order these.
